Alan's Model Shop has built up a reputation for informed and friendly service.  We pride ourselves on our knowledge and combined experience and do our best to help you in any way we can.

With regards to remote controlled cars and boats, we recommend that all of our new customers bring back (location allowing) their models when built to allow us to check the assembly and installation of radio.  We like to see people in person as you can learn how to handle a model far quicker by watching and being involved.

With aircraft we will check the setup for you. We are due to space restrictions unable to personally show you them fly. We will instead point you in the direction of a good club that will help you on your first flight.

In every other aspect of the hobby we will do our best to impart helpful tips and will try to help you understand your models and repair any problems which may occur.  This is obviously a bit more difficult if you are one of our mail order customers but we can usually help solve problems over the telephone or fax and Email if needed.

We also provide a comprehensive spares service and offer mail order to anyone who cannot get into the shop.
