Like other CSM gyros, the ICG400 incorporates advanced features not found in other makes of gyro.With their pioneering Heading lock, Yaw Rate Demand and Flight Mode concepts, CSM revolutionised the tail rotor gyro technology.

• Auto-setup system (allows rudder trim gyro reversing, super servo support and servo travel limits to be set from the transmitter)

• Two stage power supply regulation - ensure gyro is fully functional down to 2.5 volt supple (even if the radio isn't!)

• Look Ahead gain and timeconstant on motion and commands

CSM recommend that the ICG540 Gyro be used in conjunction of a high speed servo (0.12 seconds/60 degrees or better).  High speed servos such as the Futaba FP-S9404, are highly recommended as they allow the gyro to fully exploit it's fast response. Also recommended is the use of a good quality battery state monitor to ensure you are aware of the state of charge of your receiver pack.  The receiver battery is a very important part of the tail rotor system, a poor battery (low state of charge or otherwise) will adversely affect servo performance.
