Flight Simulators are exceptionally useful (and great fun) for every pilot from beginners to the more experienced.  Generally speaking you will be able to set the parameters of your models (in some cases you can even design your own from scratch) and the scenes in which you fly (obstacles, weather, etc), allowing you to test your skills and try different or new manoeuvres as many times as you like.  Best of all, when you crash the programme will just give you a new model and it won't cost a penny!
